The remains of a grand and towering wooden soldier
that once cleaned the air and stood guard over Dawes Park.
Cut down after an inevitable yield to Father Time
and an irreversible surrender to the weakening effects of
aging and wearisome environmental elements.
Unsure of the outcome but hopeful that
the remains of this tree were donated as
